Attempted Armed Robbery – Pompeo’s Pizza

Police are continuing enquires in relation to an Attempted Armed Robbery in Mornington overnight.

At approximately 7:30pm on Wednesday 20th May 2020, a male has entered Pompeo’s Pizza in Binalong Road, Mornington brandishing a 20-30cm thin bladed knife.

The male has approached staff at the front counter and demanded money from the staff. Staff did not comply with the males demands and confronted the male at which point the male left the store a short time later without obtaining any money.

No staff were physically injured however were shaken as a result of the incident.

The male is described as the following:
– Late 30’s/Early 40’s.
– Approximately 185cm tall.
– Slim build.
– Wearing a grey hoodie with a blue bandana covering the bottom half of his face.

Investigations are continuing in relation to this incident and any members of the public who may have dash cam or CCTV covering the nearby area or noticed suspicious behaviour in the nearby area are asked to contact Bellerive CIB on 131444 or contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 crimestopperstas.com.au
