House Fire, Grices Road, Tea Tree

Approximately 1.30pm yesterday, emergency services responded to a house fire at Grices Road, Tea Tree.

The two-storey brick house and a nearby car were totally destroyed by the fire. The fire was determined to be deliberately lit with an estimated damage bill of $600,000.

Police located a 44 year old woman in the vicinity of the area who was linked to the house. She was arrested and later charged with one count of arson. The woman was detained in custody and will appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court on 16 August 2023.
