Man charged with attempted murder

A 28-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at Risdon Prison on Saturday.
Police were called in relation to an alleged assault about 6:15pm, after a male prisoner was allegedly injured by another prisoner.
The victim was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The man is expected to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court today.
