Police call for witnesses following fatal motorcycle crash

Police are calling for witnesses following a fatal single vehicle motorcycle crash in Claremont overnight in which a 14 year old youth died.
Police and emergency services responded to a single motorcycle crash on Harbord Road, Claremont about 9.30pm.
Police can confirm the rider, a 14 year old youth died at the scene.
Our thoughts are with the youth’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.
Crash Investigators attended the scene, and are determining the cause of the crash.
Investigators are calling for witnesses to the crash or surrounding events.
Prior to the arrival of police, a person removed the motor cycle from the scene. Investigators would like information on the location of that motor cycle.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crash Investigation Services on 131 444.
