Police investigating deliberately lit fire in Herdsmans Cove
Police are investigating a deliberately lit fire which caused around $180,000 damage to a house in Herdsmans Cove last night.
Around 11.45pm emergency services responded to reports of a house fire on Fisher Drive.
Tasmania Fire Service extinguished the fire and determined it to have been deliberately lit.
A man inside the property at the time of the fire exited the house without injury.
Anyone with information in relation to the fire or suspicious activity in the area around the time is asked to contact Tasmania Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
