Police investigating Trevallyn taxi armed robbery
Tasmania Police is investigating after a taxi driver was reportedly robbed in Trevallyn last night.
The man driving the taxi was flagged down by two men on South Esk Road, Trevallyn about 11.40pm on Thursday. The men allegedly made threats to the driver and demanded he hand over his wallet and other items, including a quantity of cash. Police believe the two men were each armed with a knife.
The taxi driver was not physically injured during the incident.
The two men are described as being in their 20s with slim builds. Both are believed to have been wearing hooded jackets, gloves and had their faces covered.
Police conducted enquiries in the Trevallyn area last night and investigations are continuing this morning.
