Police seize significant amount of ice during Northern search

A man has been arrested and charged after police seized a significant amount of ice during a search at a Northern property on Friday.

During the search police located 85 grams of the highly addictive drug – which could have resulted in 850 individual street deals – as well as quantities of cannabis and another illicit substance.

A 25-year-old South Launceston man was arrested and has since been charged with Trafficking controlled drug (major offence), and other drug-related charges. 

He was detained to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court later this evening.
