Serious Single Vehicle Crash – Tasman Highway, Orford

Approximately 7.00pm, Saturday, 17 December 2022, police and emergency services attended a single vehicle crash involving a grey sedan having left the Tasman Highway at Orford.  The vehicle crashed through a timber and a brick fence, eventually coming to rest against a residence.

The 47-year-old male driver and only occupant of the vehicle was airlifted to the Royal Hobart Hospital, and is reported to be in a critical condition.

The residence was unoccupied at the time and damage was minimal.

If anyone witnessed a grey Ford sedan with Queensland registration driving on the Tasman Highway between Triabunna and Orford around this time, they are asked to contact police on 131444 or call Crime Stoppers.
